Tribute in Light
I was deeply saddened to hear of Navam’s passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
Navam was not only a distinguished colleague, but also a truly kind and generous human being. I feel privileged to have known him—as an unofficial mentor, a friend, and an example of what it means to live a life of integrity, compassion, and quiet dedication. His wisdom and warmth touched many lives, including my own, and I will always be grateful for that.
As you know he was a keen sports man at school and he maintained his passion for sports by taking to golf in this country and later being honoured by being made captain of the golf club. I was privileged to be at his captain’s oration at the golf club which was very well received.
Navam and myself shared common interests in Hinduism, religion and teachings of Sathya Saibaba and he always made it a point to conclude our telephone conversations with a quote from Traditional hymns.
At a time like this, words can feel inadequate, but I hope it brings some comfort to know how deeply he was respected and how fondly he will be remembered. His legacy lives on in the countless people he guided and inspired.
